Interesting insight into the problem that getting "new ideas" into Microsoft must face. It is a real surprise that Windows 7 is a disappointment on the tablet devices now coming out. If anyone should be ready for the time of these devices then it should be Microsoft - they have been doing tablet computing longer than anyone.
The Click presenter was at the CES trade show and had 5 minutes with Ballmer to show off the new form factors. But the presenter kept on pressing, "you don't have a great UI for touch". Ballmer blanked and denied any problems with small icons and fingers.
How disappointing, I was hoping he was at least going to say "we're working on that". They undoubtedly must be, at least I hope they are...
