After having re-read Space Race, I decided to try another Cadbury book and this one had good reviews.
Even though it covers a period of history in the 1800s it is still meticulously researched yet presented in a easy to read style that keeps the reader interested.
The book covers the history and the people involved in discovering the Dinosaurs. Some very committed historical figures made it possible, and they were not all very well rewarded for their endeavours. The book also touches on the friction between religious belief that the Earth was only thousands of years old and the archaeological record that soon implied millions of years.
Very interesting read, and a perfect Christmas break book.
